Handling of personal information
Starlite Co., Ltd. (hereafter, "Starlite") abides by the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Starlite's Personal Information Protection Regulations and other regulations and rules. Starlite conducts appropriate management of personal information obtained during the course of business activities, taking the following measures.
1. Collection of personal information
Starlite sometimes collects personal information in the following situations.
- When received during inquiries made using an inquiry form, by telephone or by other means
- When received while accepting applications for jobs or part-time positions
2. Purposes for using personal information
Starlite uses personal information received from customers only for the following purposes and only to the extent needed. Should the need arise to use personal information for purposes other than those listed, this intention will be communicated by sending explanatory documents, email or facsimiles or through other means of communication and the consent of the customer shall be obtained.
- To reply to an inquiry or other communication or to make contact for confirmation purposes
3. Disclosure and provision of personal information to a third party
Customer personal information acquired by Starlite shall not be disclosed or provided to a third party under any circumstances except in the following conditions.
- With the consent of the customer after specifying the contents of the information to be disclosed and the party that is to receive the disclosed information
- When a Starlite affiliated company needs it to respond to the contents of an inquiry
- When requesting delivery of a product or other item by a product delivery business
4. Personal information management and protection
Customer personal information acquired by Starlite shall be managed appropriately, and efforts shall be made to prevent loss, damage, falsification, improper access, leaks, etc.
5. Disclosure, revision and deletion of personal information
We strive to manage personal information so that is accurate and up-to-date.
Customers themselves may contact our inquiry desk about the disclosure or deletion of personal information.
However, to prevent the release of personal information to a third party, we will only respond to such requests if the identity of the customer can be verified.
6. Revisions to the "Handling of personal information protection"
Starlite will review and revise personal information protection handling as appropriate. We will post revisions to the "Handling of personal information protection" on the Starlite web site as soon as possible.
