Message from the management of Starlite Co., Ltd. Japan regarding the massive Earthquake and Tsunami which hit North East along Pacific Coast of Japan on Friday 11th March, 2011.2011/03/14
First of all, the management of Starlite would like to extend its heartfelt sympathy to the people who suffered from damage and deepest condolences to the family of casualties of the earthquake and tsunami while wishing them and everyone related for quick recovery from the disaster.
Immediately after the earthquake, we have launched an emergency task force team to assess safety of our employees and their family and damage. Takamitsu Saigo, CEO and President, has been acting as the head. The team has the task to take actions required to make every steps for recovery.
On Monday 14th March, we have the situation as below:
- No employees and their family were injured due to the earthquake and tsunami.
- Tokyo Head Office has been closed until we make sure that there is no danger to work inside the building. According to this fact, operating activities are partially suspended
- At this moment, all our production at Ritto and Hiroshima Plants are not disturbed and working in normal way. It could, however, change if raw material supplies and/or transportation are disturbed due to the earthquake and/or tsunami.
